Intravenous Nutrients
Optimal Health is able to offer a range of intravenous nutrients to our patients as indicated. There are many instances where delivering nutrients intravenously are beneficial and even preferential to oral nutrient replacement. Patients who do well with this approach are
- Patients with compromised gastrointestinal absorption. For example patients with inflammatory bowel disease, patients who have had bowel resection surgery, patients who struggle to eat.
- Patients who are recovering from infections. For example post-Covid or Influenza. Higher doses of Vitamin C can be delivered to the blood stream and this helps the body fight the infection.
- Patients who have depression, stress or burn-out. There are multiple intravenous nutrients such as NAD, Vitamin C, Alpha Lipoid Acid and Glutathione that can be administered in such situations.
- Patients recovering after chemotherapy and radiation benefit greatly from Vitamin C infusions.
- Patients with severe iron deficiency or who do not tolerate oral iron supplementation
- Patients who have been diagnosed with heavy metal toxicity may benefit from intravenous chelation therapy.
- Patients overcoming addiction or who is under severe mental stress benefit from NAD infusions
- Cardiovascular disease

STEP 2: Book the infusion with reception.
Learn more about chelation
Patients who have high levels of lead and cadmium in the body ( also other metals) had improved cardiovascular outcomes in the TACT1 study. This was one of the largest studies done on chelation therapy and was funded by the NIH in the USA. In this video Dr Lamas explains the study findings. They showed a significant reduction in cardiovascular events in diabetes compared to placebo.
We offer various combinations of chelation therapy but will depend on the results of your heavy metals results.
Can be done weekly but also monthly as part of an ongoing detoxification programme.
